Journey has become one of our favorites to attend. The atmosphere and vibe is unmatched. Truly fun comp to be a part of. Judging was fair, smoothly run from start to finish, and the journey staff are all wonderful. Interacting with every kid from every studio. We went to nationals there last year and had the absolute best time even though the venue wasn’t the best. We spent most of our time in the convention center anyways because we were having so much fun. 10/10 comp

This was our first time attending a Journey Dance Competition, and we could not have been more impressed. From the very beginning, the support we received was A+. Once we arrived at the Jackson Regional in May, we were warmly greeted by Justin and Geraiya — they are absolutely amazing! There was also another staff member helping line up our dances whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, but she was outstanding. The judging was very fair, and there were plenty of awards to go around. The venue was beautiful, and the other competing schools were wonderful as well. For us, this was a five-star experience across the board. We truly hope to have many more experiences like this with Journey Dance Competition in the future!

We love Journey! It was our first time, and despite the terrible venue- We truly loved it. They had to switch venues last minute, so, it is what it is- and as long as they aren't going back to the Washington Ave Armory- we will absolutely be returning next season. We loved that the judges referenced specific moments in the routines while awarding them- the personal touches spoke volumes. This is also the FIRST TIME ever that they didn't stack all our routines (with the same kids in them) making it physically impossible to accomplish. Kudos! I don't think we need that little app next year, though. Studio Directors do not need 1 more thing to check- haha!

We had such a great experience with Journey Competition! The event was incredibly well-run and organized from start to finish, which made the whole weekend smooth and stress-free for both dancers and parents. The energy in the room was amazing—high, positive, and truly entertaining the entire time. The staff was friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can tell they really care about creating a fun and professional environment for the dancers. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Everything about this competition is great! The judging was awesome and the staff was awesome. We will definitely put them back on the schedule next year!

We had such an incredible experience at Journey dance competition from start to finish! The entire event was extremely well organized, professional, and ran right on schedule, even ran early —which is so appreciated during a busy competition weekend. The judges were knowledgeable, encouraging, and provided thoughtful, constructive feedback that our dancers can truly learn from and grow. You can tell they genuinely care about the dancers and the art of dance. The atmosphere was positive, supportive, and inspiring. Every dancer felt valued and celebrated. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available to answer questions or assist when needed. Thank you for creating such a memorable weekend for our dancers. We loved Journey! Very well organized and the staff is very friendly. When the judges give their special awards to the dancers, you actually can feel the love they have for dance and the passion to educate. The awards sessions are so energetic and infectious. The kids have a blast. Their social media coverage is just as entertaining. This comp doesn’t give a false impression or expectation, they deliver the fun!

Whether you're in a small studio or a large one, you feel acknowledged and valued. The enthusiasm from the staff is absolutely infectious. I love the award ceremony and the outstanding judging! Highly recommend Journey Dance Competition. From the regional to their Nationals their staff was nothing but amazing and professional. The party atmosphere kept the dancers and the parents engaged the entire time. If you are looking for a well ran, professional, competitive, and fun dance competition look no further because Journey is where you need to be. 💜

Wonderfully run event. Media is included as well as titles. They even had a private teacher room with snacks! Definitely the best competition out there.

We are so excited to attend Journey this year. So far the media & communication have been amazing. We appreciate the comp being held at a school and not a hotel, we know that costs $$$ but the stage lights and beautiful theater definitely make it more exciting than a ballroom event.
